Ndolè leaves

This is the Cameroonian name for food varieties of Vernonia. It is a dish prepared from the vegetable plant. This plant is a shrub endemic to southwest Cameroon and neighboring Nigeria, grown in gardens for its leaves which serve as the basis for Cameroon's national dish (at least in the Littoral of Cameroon). The leaves and roots also have therapeutic properties.
